IPA query

Is /ˈdɛ.kɪ.mʌs/ more common than /ˈdɛ.kɪ.mʊs/ ? Pseudomonas_(talk) 16:35, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

After some discussion and research, I think that both /ʌ/ and /ʊ/ are acceptable pronunciations, although I prefer /ʌ/. /ʊ/ seems to be a better choice than /ʊ/. /ə/ might also be acceptable, but I think that both /ʌ/ and /ʊ/ are probably better choices.
