- The December 2028 lunar eclipse is a major plot point in the video game Virtue's Last Reward, in which the day of the total lunar eclipse was the day in which a virus got out causing a global pandemic where a vast percentage of the Earth's population was wiped out. Some of the puzzles in the game are also based on the December 2028 eclipse, and the event becomes the bases for a number of the game's story elements. [1] [2]
