I came to review this article for DYK but found that it is very lacking in independent, third-party sources. The only two that qualify are the NPR and Ames Tribune. The personal blog, publisher's page, and university directory page should only be used to confirm biographical information; more and varied sourcing is needed here to satisfy WP:BIO and WP:AUTHOR.
