AleatoryPonderings, oh well spotted! That was certainly taken inside the OEOB and to me the quality says it was WH comms staff, not a casual snapshot by friends/family... lemme see if I can track it down further but I feel relatively certain it is (hence no credit line, too). Cool! I was thinking to myself that it looked like a government building (and not somewhere at Stanford). Usually WH photos I've seen have EXIF author info, which this doesn't. It was apparently taken on the same day the blog post was posted, which also looks like a good indication it was federal govt work. As you'll see I posted at WIR too—maybe some other sleuths will have some insight too. AleatoryPonderings (???) (!!!) 06:33, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Once in, I will also add a derivative version that’s cropped etc for us to choose from, but since it’s basically a historic photo I think it’s worth uploading the untouched original to the Commons. Merci! Innisfree987 (talk) 06:53, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Espresso Addict and AleatoryPonderings, so many thanks for the vast improvements to the article. I have to tap out for a while here, but wanted to flag that her CV has a lot of helpful dates if either of you want to add to the entry further—I think it is ok to use, as her main roles are cited to other sources and I don’t think the dates are self-promotion (but would welcome input if that’s mistaken). When I returned I’ll try (unless someone gets there first!) to even out the book section, which now exists but not in finest form just yet. Thank you again! @Innisfree987: Thanks for all the work on this -- happy to post this to ITN now, but do you want more time to assimilate the Washington Post obituary? (I'm still trying to work on Barbara Shelley atm.) It's a question of when exactly you want the 12–24 hours of readers. Espresso Addict (talk) 18:14, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much—I will have to call it quits here in a bit, let me see what else I can do and then I will ping you. Thanks for the consideration, much appreciated! (I wish I could truly go through her writings but it’s the work of not one but probably several GAs and I agree we’re close to a solid version as we can do right now. I’m confident it captures her major concerns and achievements.) Innisfree987 (talk) 18:19, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Would be delighted to help if you need a hand! I knew of her by name but not the scope of her remarkable career and intellectual concerns. Would very much like to learn more. Innisfree987 (talk) 18:38, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
