[edit]I removed the following sentence from the article, because it is unverifiable:
- In addition, Friedman’s music is performed in synagogues around the world more than that of any other modern composer.
Obituaries have cited the Jerusalem Post which in turn cited Friedman's own web site, which is not a reliable source for such a claim. And the claim cannot be verified, given that:
- amount of performance cannot easily be quantified;
- synagogues cannot easily be surveyed;
- Friedman's compositions are rarely if ever performed in Orthodox congregations, while those of composers like Shlomo Carlebach, Benzion Shenker, etc., etc. have had huge influence on Orthodox services.
