I added his Grammy gospel win. Should his song's ("Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head") Oscar best song win be added, or is that reserved for songwriters and not performers? Just curious (and also put here in case of future issues). Wyliepedia @ 00:49, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

He didn’t win the Oscar for that. Wasn’t even nominated. Rusted AutoParts 01:09, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The song won an Oscar. The singer -- B. J. Thomas -- did not. I think that User:CAWylie was asking if this Oscar-winning song should be included in his brief bio here? I think. (I am assuming that Thomas sang the version of the song used in the Oscar-winning film.) Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 02:49, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
His gospel Grammy win was for "performance". He didn't win one for a performance of "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head". Ref (chew)(do) 06:48, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks everyone for their input. Just making sure, when it comes to the Oscars. He won five Grammys, by the way. Wyliepedia @ 09:17, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

2x Sándor Gál

[edit]

I know it's not a forum here, but I think it's so rare that I can post it here. This month 2 notable people people died with the same name; Sándor Gál (writer), Sándor Gál (chemist); also both Hungarian and born in the 1930s. SportsOlympic (talk) 10:25, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
