Christopher Hitchens

COD currently listed as cancer -- while the cancer contributed and exacerbated his death, he actually died from pneumonia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.255.78.130 (talk) 18:26, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kim Jong Il

[edit]

Kim Jong Il is born 16 Febuary 1941 that make him 70 years old comment added by Krazy Soviet (talkcontribs) 03:27, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

His page says there are disagreements on the birth year and location, one making him 69, one making him 70, so take your pick to which one to believe. Secondly, there are reports that he died Saturday, 17 December 2011 of a heart attack. I am not in any way saying these reports are accurate, I'm just passing along the information I'm hearing. --David7581 (talk) 03:57, 19 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If anything, it's Kim Jong Il's page that should be edited to reflect that there's some doubt over when he was born and when he died, not a change here to give a specific age when in truth his age was unknown. The problem is on his page, not this one. Burbridge92 (talk) 20:05, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Billy Crosby

[edit]

I removed Billy Crosby, one of hundreds of Code talkers according to the citation. An interesting story, but Crosby himself is not a notable individual. Wikipeterproject (talk) 09:14, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

...or am I supposed to wait 30 days to remove this? Wikipeterproject (talk) 18:26, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The consensus here is that a redlink remains for one month to see if an article eventuates (often in response to the subject's death). Exceptions are made where the subject is never likely to achieve notability. WWGB (talk) 23:46, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In this case a redirect page was created to Code talkers, so it wasn't actually a red link, but didn't have it's own article nonetheless. I removed the entry on the basis that the referenced article itself states that the individual was "one of hundreds", clearly implying that the Code talkers collectively were notable, but each individual is not - a position the immediate redirect of Crosby's article seems to support by its creator. I'm happy to go with the consensus, but believe there is a very strong case that this one will never meet the notability requirements. Wikipeterproject (talk) 01:05, 30 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pusuke - World's oldest dog?

[edit]

The entry for Pusuke on 5 December states that Pusuke was the "world's oldest known living dog at time of death", yet the page List of oldest dogs lists two living dogs who were both born before Pusuke. If that page is correct, the oldest known living dog at the time of Pusuke's death was Max, not Pusuke himself. Either that page is incorrect or this one is. This issue needs verification and correction. Burbridge92 (talk) 20:05, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
