    Pass/Fail:

Spot checks:

  • Ref 1: "Powell, Robert Andrew (June 14, 2013). "Dribbling Man". Grantland. ESPN" -
    • I don't see his birth date in that ref.
      • Good catch. plus Added ref to existing citation [1]
    • I don't see where it says "on-and-off girlfriend"? Source said "steady girlfriend"
      • Later Powell goes into more detail: "They'd been off and on since then. ('They'd break up and they would fight but all of us always felt it was obvious they were going to end up together forever,' their mutual friend Kristi Schwesinger told me.) They were 'on' enough for Richard to live with Terry after he sold his condo."
    • Everything else cited for ref 1 looks good.
  • Ref 3: Barnard, Jeff (May 14, 2013). "Seattle man killed while dribbling soccer ball to Brazil". USA Today. Associated Press
    • I'm not sure if ref 1 or 3 is citing the "1995 Nissan" but I don't see 1995 in either?
      • plus Added ref to existing citation [2]
    • The article says "a soccer ball which is intended to be indestructible" but the ref just says "durable".
      • plus Added ref to existing citation [3]
    • The article says "Swanson was declared dead at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital." but ref says "a local hospital"
      • minus Replaced with ref to existing citation [4]
  • Ref 4: "Ruark, Jeremy C. (May 14, 2013). "A 10,000 mile adventure, one step at a time". Lincoln City News Guard. Lincoln City, Oregon"
    • Everything in ref 4 looks good.
  • Ref 5 : "Olson, Erik (May 8, 2013). "The soccer walker". The Daily News. Longview, Washington"
    • Ref 5 looks good as well.
  • Ref 9 : "Prince-Wright, Joy (May 13, 2013). "Seattle man's tragic death as he attempted to dribble ball to Brazil for charity"
    • Looks good.

Comments:

  • Add birthplace to infobox.
    •  Done
  • Maybe add Category:People from Yakima, Washington, but I realize this article isn't technically about him.
  • The portal links at the bottom kind of create a lot of white space on the left side.
  • Reference formatting looks good.
  • This article reads really good. I couldn't find any prose issues.
    • Thanks!
  • We could probably upload a non-free image of Swanson but I understand if you don't want to do that since the article isn't technically about him.
    • I have a personal policy of not uploading fair-use images except for a work being discussed. I have no objection to anyone else doing so if they'd like, though.

Great work on saving this article. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 20:47, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
