Not quite appropriate merger?
[edit]It seems somewhat less than appropriate to merge the potential article about David Coughlin with Raffi Kodikian, seeing as Mr. Kodikian killed Mr. Coughlin. Perhaps the article would be better named something to do with the murder event. As it is it's a little like Mr. Kodikian took mr. Coughlin's life and his identity (as it is on Wikipedia, anyway). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.115.135.49 (talk) 13:16, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- According to WP:SINGLEEVENT, "When an individual is significant for their role in a single event, ... The general rule in many cases is to cover the event, not the person." With that in mind, it would probably be best to rename the article to reference the event, rather than the people involved. -- 76.201.158.47 (talk) 13:58, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Identify the country
[edit]I inserted a definitional sentence because when I read the article, I had no idea which country this happened in until I got to the second section and saw Massachusetts. Yes, I realise that most people who are reading this article would be American, but I think it would help readers from the rest of the world if the country is identified somewhere in the lead section. Or anywhere at all, really. --PalaceGuard008 (Talk) 01:31, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- You are absolutely correct. I've modified the lead to be more accurate and accessible by international readership. Just sorry it took this long for someone to notice. Boneyard90 (talk) 15:17, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
