Training future teachers to use ICTs
[edit]"TICs" are ICTs, in Spanish - for " Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación". Many in South America favor to preface with "N", for "nuevas", as in "New Information and Communication Technologies". In 2010 I was handed a draft of the proposed curricula for training teachers in NTICs in Teacher Colleges, a course which clearly was not prepared by anyone who knew much about technology, but rather about how to deal with teachers-to-be, where relevancy is not often the priority. Thus, it dedicated an enormous amount of time to talk about dead media as the origins ICT...
Of course this is quite irrelevant for training teachers to use ICTs, yet a good example on how dead media studies are alive and well as of 2010. yamaplos 16:28, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
