Dayapuram' Dayapuram the "Malayalam" word means "the land of kindness". In 1984 under the leadership off Mr.C.T. Abdurahim, now a prominent academic in Kerala,with P.P. Hyder Haji, M.N. Karassery, K.P. Muhammed Haji and V. Marakkar , Started an English Medium School at N.I.T.Calicut (R.E.C.Calicut).Their aim was to bring educationally backward, to the mainstream especially the orphans. English Medium Education was not materialistic to the orphans. Orphans from all religions are admitted. Sheikh Abdulla Ibrahim Al Ansari,Qatar was their main financial source. In 1986 formal inauguration done by Sheikh Abdulla Al Ansari and Dayapuram Residential School gets affiliation of the Central Board of Secondary Education,New Delhi in 1986.
