Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (Daya is an established Billboard Top 200 artist in the US, and the article has citations for several notable media outlets in America, including Billboard's official website, the Today Show, and music news website Headline Planet. Move?
[edit]@Livelikemusic, IPadPerson, SNUGGUMS, and NeilN: The article suggests that Daya is a musician, but it isn't noted that she plays any instruments. Should the article be moved to a new page "Daya (singer)"? ilovechristianmusic (Tell Me Something!) 18:40, November 9, 2015 (UTC)
- Good idea. I went ahead and moved it. "Musician" is also a relatively vague description compared to "singer", which is pretty specific. Snuggums (talk / edits) 23:58, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

I'm no expert, but there does not seem to be any evidence of this MTV interview of Daya admitting a relationship with this guy Michael Cuke. All other sources say she is still single. 104.38.19.96 (talk) 06:13, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. 🔯 Sir Joseph 🍸(talk) 20:41, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

Birthdays
[edit]In the "Personal Information" section it says that her birthday is in 2000, yet the article text says it was 1998. I believe that 1998 is correct. NotABot Today (talk) 22:02, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
Daya's coming out
[edit]I'm not familiar enough with writing articles on living people to know the normal protocol for this, but I figured it should be mentioned that Daya has come out (https://www.billboard.com/photos/8465833/lgbt-stars-come-out-2018 for more details). I haven't been able to determine precisely how she identifies, but she explicitly mentioned having a girlfriend in a promotional video for her upcoming single, Safe (https://www.instagram.com/p/BlTYxrBnSBT/?taken-by=daya) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8800:1B81:AA00:E1DD:1C88:96AD:7FD2 (talk) 06:27, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
