[edit]Comic? Humor? I don't think that applies to Day by Day. 70.16.92.26 21:03, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- And what better way to make your dislike known than by abusing the talk page? ~ CZeke 05:09, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- Witty? Convincing? I don't think that applies to your talk page abuse. --Haizum μολὼν λαβέ 07:21, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Weasel Words
[edit]"It must be noted that"? Seems like the author has a little bit of bias. Those are weasel words for disapproval.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.36.252.248 (talk • contribs) 06:12, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yep. In fact, we Wikipedia editors are supposed to Avoid Weasel Words. I made a quick fix; better wording welcome. Cheers, CWC 17:22, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
No "Characters" edits for a long time
[edit]Zed is no longer in Iraq, and Skye's abuse episode with Karl could get some mention. Maybe I'll gather up some dedication and make the edits, but for now it's easier just to complain uselessly, here. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.34.218.61 (talk) 12:23, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- It might be worthwhile to divide up the "Characters" section between principals and consistently featured personae (like Sam's sister, Skye) and those who have come into the strip only intermittently and infrequently (such as Naomi, the Israeli PMC who insists on calling Zed "sir" in spite of their longstanding familiarity). Tucci78 (talk) 07:52, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- I added an entry for Dimitri Anatoly, but it still need fleshing out. — Loadmaster (talk) 17:35, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Tracing Hack
[edit]No mention that the whole comic is traced? I had suspicions that most of the drawings of women (whose days seem to consist of getting out of the shower, laying in bed, and chopping vegetables) were traced from porn, but every drawing of one of the kids appears to be traced from the exact same photo that Chris Muir apparently found after google image searching for "crying girl." He just pastes the same image in different directions now. Don't believe me?

Creepy. I guess that the only saving grace is that this comic isn't notable enough for anyone to have looked into it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.45.179.141 (talk) 23:20, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- There's a problem with détournement? Heck, it's how Muir uses the images, not where he gets 'em. Tucci78 (talk) 07:51, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, tracing the same pornography and images from the first page of your Google Image searches to make up for your complete incompetence as an artist is incredibly subversive. I also suppose his clumsy, word salad dialogue is an avant-garde deployment of Burroughs' Cut-up technique. Hardrivepolio (talk) 19:11, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]Chris Muir doesn't seem to be notable independant of his comic, Day by Day (webcomic). Since both articles are rather slim, and because a PROD on Muir's page was contested on his talk page, I suggest merging the two. Argento Surfer (talk) 14:26, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
- Support. Moving most of the bio text and image from Chris Muir to this page, perhaps into an entirely new section, would probably be the best initial approach. The talk page lists a few more references that would be useful as well. — Loadmaster (talk) 23:43, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
