I have restored material about where he has been a visiting professor, and the editorial board of journals he has been on. Though they individually do not prove notability, they certainly contribute to it, and it is appropriate material for articles on faculty, and is always added if known.

As for notability, a full professor of finance at NYU's business school is almost certain to be notable. His publications needto be added , to show him as being an authority in his profession, according to WP:PROF. DGG (talk) 04:35, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

numbers of papers

[edit]

I used the number "over 17" because I did what I know to be an incomplete search and found 17. They can of course be added, but I'd rather do that after a more complete search. Anyone else is welcome to do it of course. DGG (talk) 04:27, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

of course I still object. It's normal content. DGG (talk) 00:52, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request
