Rewrite required
[edit]This article needs a complete rewrite as it does not appear to be NPV. Too little coverage has been given to the Homes for Votes scandal and too much to other minor events. Philafrenzy (talk) 23:09, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed. I have added the {{peacock}} template also - this article reads like a bluffer's CV, with plenty of airy claims of "influence" etc. but not a single reliable source that agrees. Apart from Homes for Votes, there is also no mention of the Mill Hill/East Finchley/Hanwell fiasco. As Peter Bradley put it: "Shirley Porter will go down in history as the woman who sold three council cemeteries for 5 pence each, and David Weeks will go down in history as the man who bought them back for £4.25 million." Not if this article in its present state is all that future students of local politics have to go by, Peter. BlackberrySorbet 22:43, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
Cemetery
[edit]Congratulations to whoever added the sentence that Weeks was not buried in a Westminster cemetery. It made me laugh out loud. 89.243.154.85 (talk) 20:44, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
