Empire of Man series

I've created stubs for the three most recent books in the series (March to the Sea (novel), March to the Stars, and We Few) and added a reference to all four books in the series for being on the NYT best seller list. Templates

Please don't add any templates of his various books series here. We don't even have the {{Honorverse}} template here. Because this is an article about the writer, not about his works. I don't see why not. The templates may contain links not already on the page, and serve as easy navigation for related articles. And what does "Those have articles per series or even per book." mean? The sentence makes no sense. ···日本穣^? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 17:05, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

I rewrote it. I agree it was uncomprehensible. Now it says what I had in mind.

Please note that two editors have already reverted you, and that within a few hours. That would seem like a pretty strong indication you are confusing some things with putting these templates. I'm not confused about anything. I know how things work here, and have tens of thousands of edits to prove it. Saying that I'm confused is not assuming good faith on the part of my actions. I'd like to know why you think the template doesn't belong here. Is it somehow cluttering the page? I don't think it is since it's (by default) collapsed and placed at the very bottom of the page. Sorry, if I gave you the impression I don't appreciate your experience on Wikipedia. I do.

I gave you the reason why I think the template and the article do not go together. It is in the very first post of this section, beginning with "because...".

There are indeed articles about authors that have footer templates about their works. But if so, then we should have all templates of all his works. Putting just 1 template about 1 series of his books, and not even his most famous one, is not consistent. Debresser (talk) 07:15, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

I'd have absolutely no problem with that. But I did have a look at Asimov and Frank Herbert, and they do not have it either. So I just don't know whether it is a good idea. Debresser (talk) 10:08, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
