- Commented I would change the phrase "a KCB" to "was Knighted" - makes more sense for those who don't know what the abbreviations mean. And to be nitpicky - KCB is a Knight of the Bath. KBE would be a Knight of the British Empire. Gbawden (talk) 06:37, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks @Gbawden: . I have said 'was knighted in 1820' in the lead and didn't want repetition of the phrase, so should be clear to all. He was indeed KBE. Papamac (talk) 15:51, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
