DVN Company
[edit]D. Von Nostrand also published Economic control of quality of manufactured product by Walter A. Shewhart which is commonly regarded in engineering/statistics as a major work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.90.150.16 (talk) 20:43, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- That book was published in 1931, long after David had passed away. — Rgdboer (talk) 23:23, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
After David Van Nostrand’s death in 1886, the company carried on under the same name. Since then, it has been called Van Nostrand Reinhold, acquired by Litton Industries and later by International Thomson Publishing. Consolidation in publishing now puts the Van Nostrand imprint with Cengage Group. The current article is about the person, not the company after 1886. — Rgdboer (talk) 23:00, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
