Duplication
[edit]Hi Richard Nevell, thanks for the work you’re doing on this. When you mention duplication, do you mean between the biography and controversy sections? Ayenaee (talk) 18:47, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
- I do. At this stage it is probably worth removing the subheading and keeping an eye out for repetition. Richard Nevell (talk) 19:11, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
- I repeated the cricket related info under both sections, because I’m uncertain that the controversy section actually belongs here. Although Teeger has become the poster boy for the issue, it seems to me to be bigger than him. I’m going to add info from more recent articles which show a more political rather than cricket perspective. So I was thinking that the controversy section needs to move to the ICC article under its youth development section, leaving just a summary here and a {main article} tag. I wouldn’t do that unilaterally, it probably needs and RFC? I’ll take out the duplication for now. Ayenaee (talk) 19:19, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
- It could be a case of tired eyes, but I don't see a youth development section in the International Cricket Council article. Is there another article I should be looking at? Richard Nevell (talk) 21:18, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
- Not your eyes (although I know the feeling) it’s my brain overloading with TLAs (3-letter acronyms). I meant the CSA section: Cricket South Africa#Development, youth and grass roots. Sorry. Ayenaee (talk) 21:59, 31 January 2024 (UTC)
