Hi there!

Your page has been vandalised many times and I reverted todays vandalism attempt when they deleted the article.

We thank you very much for your contribution on Wikipedia.

I have blanked the section of the page with the review from the BBC, which is clearly a copyright violation of material here on the BBC , although I suspect it was probably sourced from here, where it already exists as a copyright violation. Please ready WP:COPY, specifically relating to fair use. MNewnham 17:47, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Why is someone deleting this article? I took quite a while to put the info on the David page - plus several links ot reviews. I don't think its appropriate to simply leave the page blank. All the info I've added is accurate to the best of my knowledge. Pauline

Someone in a neutral position should be writing the article. This article has been changed countless numbers of times to your POV article only because YOU seem to deem it necessary. You have a biased opinion and it is inappropriate to express it in an encyclopaedia that adheres to be factual. This article will continue to be deleted until a neutral, truthful article is displayed and is left UNCHANGED.

Yes I totally realise the first write-up was more a review, and I should have spent more time reading your instructions on here, which I have now done. I took any biased info out, and stuck to facts. Yo be honest I've looked at several other artists pages on here, and many mentioned the 'type' of music an artist does. Also why were the Reviews, Links, Fame Academy write-ups and discography etc. taken off, when I never put those up? I resent being called a teeny-bopper - in fact there is no need to be rude, is there? I'm an older music fan - I enjoy folk/rock, (artists like Richard Thompson, Joni Mitchell, John Martyn ) and the Beatles. Yes David was promoted as a young pop star in 2003, but thats not what he's about. He's a young singer-songwriter. I have a university degree and I know what being objective and taking a non-biased approach means. I also told you that my teenage daughter was putting up the other article as a joke, and in my opinion her view is not neutral. Working at Universal Publishing is a well respected job. I've spoken with her and I don't believe she vandalised the article today.

Page has been edited slightly to make article completely neutral.

Hi there. Thanks for putting the page back on, with the other info etc. The solo Westlife bit was a quote from David himself, but I'd need to find the quote I guess. Added a missing letter and a pic. cheers

I have changed the layout of the text to wrap around the image to improve the overall look of the page. Question: is the lower section on Fame Academy necessary? It is already referred to in the main body of the text and including a cross referenced link to the Wikipedia entry on Fame Academy. Lizzieuk 00:15, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

source info

WHY IS THIS IMAGE BEING DELTED? File:Guildford David - 3.JPG I am the author of this photo and therefore own Copyright. The first time I uploaded the photo I forgot to put this information in the appropriate box. I re-loaded the photo on here adding that I am the author, but it has been taken off again. How can I re-add this photo stating that I have ownership? user LaurynK 15:12 20 May 2006 (UTC) Pauline Keightley

I'd like to state that this article is based on information on my website www.davidsneddonfansite.co.uk where I have press about David Sneddon over the last 3 years, from 2003 - 2006. Pauline

'Note to Ms Keightley:' Ideally you should, wherever possible, cite the original source or publication (eg newspaper, magazine, website ) of quotes attributed to Mr Sneddon and other references, rather than just provide links to your own websites and blogs. Lizzieuk 17:16, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi, Yes I realise this now. I will try to look up the quote references. Pauline Keightley

Hi, I have made a few minor alterations to some new edits about David's recent songwriting successes. I forgot to log in at first but I am now. LaurynK 2:25 7 January 2007

Fair use rationale for Image:Seven years ten weeks.jpg

Image:Seven years ten weeks.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Songwriting section

This is verging on insider information. Can these claims be independently verified? Where are the claims coming from? Unless they can be it's general gossip and should be removed.Rachel0898 (talk) 20:43, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

I have added references to websites and press, that include articles on David's songwwriting career. Another editor added this section orignally which I edited later.LaurynK14:55, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

I have removed parts of this section that might be considered 'subjective' or unsourced material. I hope this improvement reads better now. LaurynK 6:60, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
