any good promotional shots or anything for page?

Question: I am lost when I read that Copyright stuff...If I take a Screen Shot, of the DVD Playing, is that illegal or legal? And What Licence would that fall under? Nate7181 23:07, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

We couldn't use it. See WP:FU. --Yamla 01:17, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Birthday

We need a solid source stating whether David was born November 2nd or November 12th.

imdb says 2nov, who says otherwise? -Lordraydens 23:37, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

NBC.com says Nov. 2 also--Porsche997SBS 00:21, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
TV.com and this site say the twelfth. I don't think anyone really knows. --Wafulz 18:24, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

changed it to 2nd

I've changed it back because we haven't gotten a solid solution. --Wafulz 14:11, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Sources

There's an awful lot of unsourced information in this bio. References need to be added, beyond an IMDB link (which is a dubious source, at best). --Elonka 18:28, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Benji Schwimmer

David Schwimmer has a famous cousin, Benji Schwimmer, and the link between them is notable and has been covered in venues such as Access Hollywood [1]. Via Wikipedia principles of Build the Web, there should be some kind of a link from David's article, to Benji's article. I recommend adding this in a "Trivia" section, though it might also make sense to include it somewhere in a section about David's family. Does anyone else have a suggestion on how this would be best included? --Elonka 19:59, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

How about in the 'early life' section, though truth be told I'm not sure that it is all that notable given they are just cousins. But it's probably worth a short mention. --Yamla 20:14, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
I anticipate that the connection is going to become increasingly notable over the next few months, since Benji Schwimmer is getting more and more famous, and is starting to get regular mentions in "Entertainment Weekly," as well as showing up on the talkshow circuit. I feel that the connection is worth mentioning, though the other famous relatives such as Buddy Schwimmer and Heidi Groskreutz can probably be left off unless they're specifically mentioned in association with David somewhere else in the press. --Elonka 23:14, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. See WP:NOT. --Yamla 00:43, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
The connection is current and notable and worth mentioning. I also recommend that you read WP:AGF and WP:CIVIL. Doing wholesale reverts of good faith edits, is not particularly polite. In any case, if you'd like to add it elsewhere in the article, please do so. I don't recommend "Early Life", because according to the datestamps, David Schwimmer is much older than Benji. I personally still feel that a "Trivia" section is probably best, but I won't quibble about exact location. --Elonka 17:25, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Heidi Groskreutz is the third cousin of David. [2] If you look right under her pic, it has her interests and it says that David is her third cousin.

THE TRUTH: Benji Schwimmer is NO RELATION whatsoever to this David Schwimmer, and David's actual height is 6'1.

Dutch?

Is he Dutch?

Ashkenazic. --84.249.253.201 05:03, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

He's Jewish.

~last son of krypton 05:38, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Uh...you can be Dutch AND Jewish! "Dutch" is a nationality and "Jewish" is a religion... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.63.128.228 (talk) 02:49, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

If he was Dutch, his name would be Zwimmer. "Jewish" as an ethnicity was officially pointed out under the nazis and thus today is not accepted as ethnicity by most countries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.185.197.133 (talk) 20:09, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Height

I changed his height to 6 feet 1 inches again and I put a reference again. All evidence points to him not being 6 feet 2 inches, celebheights.com is the one of the only reliable, and up to date sites on celebrity heights.

Agentdemon 04:48, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

I would however, prefer not to use celebheights since it is a purely speculatory site. If we could get another source as well as celebheights, i would be satisfied.

The site is constantly reviewed and estimates based on hugely on people encountering celebs. I couldn't find another solid source but on his myspace it says he's 6'1. Although that space could be a fake....

~last son of krypton 02:06, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Seems solid enough to me. It is safe to call him 6`1

his height

someone changed his height to 8 foot 4.....wth —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Imanadmin NOT (talkcontribs) 23:30, 22 February 2007 (UTC).

Snaro?

I was watching the Friends episode where he played Russ and the ending credits and he was listed as Snaro. I typed it in two Wiki to see if it would redirect here and, sure enough, it did. Is there a story behind this? Can someone add it to the page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.104.162.2 (talk) 05:03, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism

I was trying to revert some apparent vandalism but got lost in the history and I think I may have reverted correct info. Not sure. Could somebody check this David_Schwimmer article to make sure it is OK? Thanks. UB65 (talk) 19:48, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Karate Kid?

Filmography says he was a "walk in" on Karate Kid. First, shouldn't it be walk on; second, does any one know at what point of the movie this is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.73.92.55 (talk) 20:37, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

I think it's the part where Daniel is avoiding Ali.. I'm not sure if it' really him.
