Adding references
[edit]It might help to look at WP:RS together with Wikipedia:Notability. Regards --Greenmaven (talk) 23:40, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Removed unacceptable references
[edit]I have edited out most of the 'references' you added to this article. A person's name from the text, repeated as a 'reference', is not acceptable. The purpose of references is to verify the statements made in the article using reliable third party sources. Otherwise what we have is 'original research' (WP:ORIGINAL), which is not allowed in WP.
I am trying to be helpful in making these changes. You need to find references in books or reputable newspaper articles (see WP:REFERENCE) that establish the notability of this person and which verify the statements made about him. If this cannot be done the article may be deleted. I see there have already been attempts to do this. I appreciate that this is your first article and you may need to learn more about the conventions at Wikipedia (WP) --Greenmaven (talk) 00:38, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
