Band

[edit]

David was also in the 80's band, The Chantoozies. I think it's worth mentioning. I don't know a lot about the band (I was too young ;) ) or else I would add it Naysie 12:06, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:9am David and Kim.jpg

[edit]

Image:9am David and Kim.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

David Reyne's Logie

[edit]

I haven't read Robert Fidgeon (24 May 2000), "The Journeyman", Herald-Sun which User:Sarah cites on 01:28, 23 October 2007 when editing David Reyne with edit summary (→Acting - fixing logie and changin ref. david says it was 1984, imdb is mistaken). The article now states "...landed a Logie Award winning lead role (1984 "Best New Talent")[4] in Australian Broadcasting Corporation series Sweet and Sour (1984)"

There may be a problem with this: the 1984 Logies were held on 6th April and 1984 Most Popular New Talent went to James Reyne for East of Eden (see TV Week's 1984 Logies). The series Sweet and Sour was broadcast in July/August 1984. The 1985 Logies were held on 26th April, when David got the 1985 Logie for Most Popular "Best" New Talent for his 1984 performance in Sweet and Sour (see 1985 Logies).

Perhaps the relevant sentence in David Reyne needs further work?Shaidar cuebiyar 06:46, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry "Best" New Talent according to 1985 Logies page.Shaidar cuebiyar 06:57, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I've responded more fully to your message on my talk page here but for anyone else reading this page, basically, all of the edits I made to this article were based on information provided to us by David Reyne himself. I then took his material and verified it independently, for policy reasons, with articles I obtained from Factiva and Aus. NZ Reference Centre. I am more than happy to make the cited Fidgeon article available to anyone who wants it. Cheers, Sarah 11:01, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
