Is that a reliable source? Barstool revenue source needs citation and should in my opinion be moved to the Barstool Sports page. TheWarOfArt (talk) 23:00, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Controversy Section

Hey contributors,

I want to add a section to the page dedicated to the controversy that Portnoy has caused and been around. It is no secret that Portnoy and his company have sparked a lot of controversy, and that Portnoy embraces the fact that he is such a controversial figure. An example of something that I would include under this section would be his long-standing feud with Sam Ponder, and how that came into light when Barstool Van Talk was cancelled. This section will be created cautiously, as I do not want it to come off as biased whatsoever. If you have any concerns about this section being added, or any opinions on what should be included, Please let me know. EnricoCaruso3 (talk) 22:18, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

I will be adding some information regarding content that Portnoy is part of to the career section. The information will include his pizza review videos, as well as radio shows that he is part of. I feel that this is necessary to add because they play a great part in making him a recognizable figure. Please let me know if these contributions could be improved or if you think that they may not be needed. EnricoCaruso3 (talk) 01:03, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

Agree. It is noteworthy that his stuff was picked up by ESPN, and his stuff was cancelled after one show for being a woman hater. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2017/oct/23/espn-barstool-van-talk-cancelled-samantha-ponder — Preceding unsigned comment added by Satendresse (talkcontribs) 03:00, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

I agree as well. I came to this page hoping to read about his controversies (of which I'm aware of a handful), and was surprised there wasn't a section on it. I might check back in a couple days and start adding myself. Brick6999 (talk) 21:16, 26 April 2019 (UTC)

As most of these "controversies" have come in his capacity as the founder of Barstool Sports, some maybe eligible for inclusion on that page (as was the case with the Ponder episode referenced above). However, please keep in mind encyclopedic value and the risk of creating a Very Long section. TheWarOfArt (talk) 20:55, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
