1924 Rhodes Scholarship
[edit]Although the American Labor Who's Who, published in 1925, lists Berenberg as recipient of a 1924 Rhodes Scholarship, this detail raised eyebrows with family members, who had never heard of his having received this award. They subsequently sought confirmation with the Rhodes Trust, which maintains a complete list of the 7200+ Rhodes Scholars at the URL http://www.rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk/section/rhodes-scholars-complete-list-1903-2009
Berenberg's name does not appear on his list and the reference to his receipt of the award has consequently been deleted on grounds of questionable veracity. Carrite (talk) 19:28, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
