[edit]Talk David N Johnson. Beginning with the fall of 1960, David N Johnson was the college organist at St Olaf College, Northfield, MN, where he also taught organ. In 1967 he left St Olaf to take another position at Arizona. During 65-66, 66-67 Johnson also served as Chairman of the Music Department at St Olaf.
The documentation I have is a stray page [undated, but probably 1987, the year of Johnson's death] "Reflections of a former student" by William Kuhlman, from the St Olaf Alumni magazine.
As to Johnson's arrival, I was a graduating senior and so was under Dr Johnson's instruction for only one year, 1960-61, very memorable.
The dates in the current article concerning Johnson's time at Syracuse should be amended, as Johnson was NOT at Syracuse from 1960 to 1967 [academic years].
According to the bio at the Augsburg-Fortress site, Johnson went to Syracuse, from St Olaf in 1967, and then to Arizona in 1969. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Diaphora (talk • contribs) 14:17, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
