The article states that Carr is a pacifist, something which he himself emphatically denies: "Though I am a Quaker, like many Quakers I am not a pacifist. In this respect, Berman’s ad-hominem reading of Holy Resilience is simply wrong". https://mosaicmagazine.com/response/2017/07/academic-biblical-criticism-is-not-corrupt/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.123.238.97 (talk) 20:07, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --WaterwaysGuy (talk) 00:07, 4 December 2012 (UTC) David Carr is an extremely distinguished and well-known scholar. He needs an expanded page. Not a deleted one.WaterwaysGuy (talk) 00:07, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
- while that may be true at the time it was nominated it gave no indication why he might be considered notable. As the creator of the article the onus is on you to provide that when initially writing it, no matter how brief the article is. As you have edited it to address that concern I have declined the nomination. Beeblebrox (talk) 03:23, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
Moving the page / rename
[edit]I would argue (or at least it is possible) that the more well-known David Carr with "M" as a middle initial is David Michael Carr, NY Times journalist. I propose that we rename this page "David M. Carr (Bible Dude)" or something to that effect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.113.38.83 (talk) 14:10, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
