Horse trading
[edit]The link horse trading currently redirects to Vote trading, which is inappropriate. I'll see if I can write something up that encompasses the fuller sense of the term.

The dating of horse trading is from memory of the OED second edition; I don't have a copy, so I'll have to get the precise reference when I can. Melonseed (talk) 22:03, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm kind of careful in implying rather than stating that the metaphorical use of horse trading comes from David Harum; it obviously does, but I've never seen that in print. Melonseed (talk) 22:03, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Radio Show
[edit]My source for the stuff in the radio show is this. I didn't cite it because it sees to be quoting The Great Radio Soap Operas, by Jim Cox, Jefferson, N.C. : McFarland, (c) 1999. I'll have to check this out. Melonseed (talk) 22:03, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
