[edit]David Harris was not a draft dodger. He was a draft resister, or draft refuser.
"Last Supper" parody photo
[edit]After David's head was shaved at Stanford, I believe he and the perpetrators from Delta Tau Delta fraternity reconvened for a photo that was a parody of Da Vinci's painting "The Last Supper". Is there a scan of this photo in the public domain? LADave (talk) 21:08, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
There is no citation for the statement that "half" of those sent notices to report failed to show for their physical. I beleves there is no support for this assertion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.41.110.155 (talk) 23:49, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Title of article is not helpful
[edit]David Harris (protester)? Harris spent most of his life as a journalist/author. While he is best known as a draft resister and anti-war and civil rights activist, "protester" is non-specific and almost insulting. Avocats (talk) 03:20, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Avocats, titles should reflect what someone is most known for and the name has to disambiguated from all the other David Harris articles. I assume your suggesting David Harris (journalist/author) or David Harris (writer) however I think that would be misleading to readers as although that may be what they have done the rest of their life it is not why they are notable. If you disagree with protester, you need to suggest something that indicates what they are known for, such as David Harris (activist)? You could try asking on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Biography to get a discussion, or start a formal request at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:30, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Avocats and KylieTastic: Amazing. I had a similar reaction when I saw the term "protester" in the title -- and my immediate thought was that "activist" would be much better. So if there is no objection, I will go ahead and move the article to "David Harris (activist)" in a few days. Anomalous+0 (talk) 14:21, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Anomalous+0: I'm happy with David Harris (activist) if Avocats is and since no one else has commented seams fair enough to me. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 14:25, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

"Activist" is certainly better than "protester." Avocats (talk) 19:40, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
