Questions about Brendan Dassey
[edit]1. David Hamilton played a role in the Brendan Dassey case, which is being championed by the Innocence Project as a likely wrongful conviction. Hamilton was the dissenting judge in the three judge panel that ruled to uphold that Dassey's conviction. He later wrote the majority decision when the decision was reviewed en banc and reversed. Dassey's conviction and the action of this court in blocking his appeal, has lead to an international outcry and in turn to harsh scrutiny of Hamilton's ethics and competence. This seems to demand that Hamilton's role in this matter be stated, and perhaps discussed.
2. The link to Hamilton at the Alliance for Justice is broken and I can find no reference to Hamilton at that site. I don't have an explanation. If Hamilton's association with the Alliance for Justice has been severed, any available information on this should be included in his page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajrmmm (talk • contribs) 03:50, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
