[edit]It is also worth noting that Guest was a friend and pupil of Wittgenstein's at one point.

Do you have a ref for this, Rosa? Mike Spathaky (talk) 05:29, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
Article title
[edit]We don't normally use a person's political belief as an epithet in their biographical article in WP. David Guest was also a mathematician and philosopher. As he lectured in mathematics after graduating at Cambridge I suggest the article title be changed to David Guest (mathematician). Mike Spathaky (talk) 05:27, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

Imprisoned for anti-Nazi political activity
[edit]The article says that he was imprisoned when he was in Gottingen for two weeks for "anti-Nazi political activity". This is as per the source and I expect that whatever political activity he was involved with was anti-Nazi, but in 1930-31, the Nazi's were not yet in power, so it is probable that this imprisonment was for political activity, for street fighting against Nazi groups or some similar event rather than because it was specifically Anti-Nazi; such an offence not yet existing. Helena Sheehan's Marxism and the Philosophy of Science is more cautious on this, just saying he "witnessed the rise of fascism" and "spent a fortnight in prison".
