David was never voted most "grittest" this is a complete fabrication. Check into it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.121.109.10 (talk) 04:26, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is he Jewish? If so, he should be listed under Jewish-American athletes.

He is not Jewish (http://espn.go.com/talent/danpatrick/s/2002/0828/1424027.html) but has received accolades for being such.

Size

[edit]

On the Cardinals' web page, Eckstein is listed as 5'7", which matches what's on the Wikipedia page. But, the "listed" heights in baseball are typically exaggerated. Based on the players I've met, it seems they are consistently exaggerated by 4 inches.

Eckstein is listed at 5'7", which probably means he's really 5'3".

Can the page include a disclaimer like, "he is listed at 5'7" but likely is shorter" or something like that?

Speculation over how tall he really is has no place in an encyclopedia, unless you can find a reputable source that suggests he's not actually 5'7".

Small for Professional Sports

[edit]

"he is... small for professional sports" - I think this is a bit misleading. There are many professional sports where 5'7" isn't particularly small (soccer, equestrianism, etc) he's only small in the context of the major American sports. Blankfrackis (talk) 02:32, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
