Bizarre Claims Regarding His Ethnicity

[edit]

The article states that "His father was an Armenian-Iranian-American engineer who worked at engineering firm Black & Veatch." Three sources are added to support this claim, none of them remotely suggests that he is Armenian. In fact, one of them quite clearly states, with a direct quote from David himself; that he is Iranian and "not Armenian".

Here is the quote: "I’m actually not Armenian, I’m Persian. It’s Iranian. It’s funny, people immediately assume that because of the I-A-N".

His surname is clearly Iranian and it means "Handkerchief sellers". His father's name is Hossein, clearly a Muslim Iranian name.

I assume, most people do not know that Armenian surnames are overwhelmingly of Turkish or Persian origin (since they traditionally lived in imperial Persia and Turkey) but making assumptions while a person clearly states his/her origins and heritage is quite wild. 88.238.238.242 (talk) 16:12, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
