Quaker?

ODNB: "In August 1665 David Barclay was committed to Edinburgh Castle at the behest of enemies resentful of his dealings during the interregnum. He shared a cell for a time with John Swinton, a fellow Scottish MP under Cromwell who had turned Quaker in 1657. David Barclay declared himself a Quaker in March 1666".
