Bibliography
[edit]Why does Douglas Brinkley's intro get a separate listing? The whole book has been listed all ready. Better to just note Brinkley in the first listing, no?
Also -- doesn't he have musician progeny? Why aren't they mentioned? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.236.111.172 (talk) 21:14, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Raffi Lyrics Reference
[edit]In a song by Raffi, a children's entertainer, there are lyrics that are likely a reference to David Amram:
A peanut butter sandwich made with jam
One for me and one for David Amram
A sample of the song can be heard here: http://music.yahoo.com/track/764615. Because both are musicians, I thought this was likely a reference to him, and wondered if anyone else agreed? I'm aware of the original research stigma, and could see where people might disagree.

Here's David Amram telling the story with Raffi in attendance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkyBIp8iKsk, and the two of them (plus the Amram family) singing the song together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkyBIp8iKsk — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.246.134.118 (talk) 00:37, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
Skimpy on the Details
[edit]Where was David Amram born? Where did he study? Etc. Etc. Who is David Amram anyway? As a person, rather than a collection of works. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.95.174.225 (talk) 22:32, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
Answers: Philadelphia. Oberlin. Try the encyclopedia at Jazz.com. But how come they know and Wikipedia is clueless? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.95.174.225 (talk) 22:35, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
Answer: Amram's first book is an autobiography titled "Variations" (published by Routledge Books). He has two other collections of memoirs published. comment added by "onehand" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgenow (talk • contribs) 00:00, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

Citations Removed
[edit]Someone removed a sentence I inserted about the number of instruments that David plays, for which I included a citation to a video from the Folk Alliance International. I must have cited the source incorrectly. Can anyone help me understand how you cite a video? comment added by "onehand" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgenow (talk • contribs) 13:08, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
