Request to Split
[edit]I feel this page should be split into two. There is no reason why Tiger Canyons Project's fraudulency be described in such detail in Salmoni's biography page. We need more content on his life too.
- I gave this a brush up as part of User:Deiz/10. There's more to be done, go nuts... Deizio talk 14:41, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
Birth date
[edit]Please confirm Salmoni's birth date. It is probably 1978, because he was 28 in February 2006 (2006-28=1978)

[edit]I decided to add Animal Face-Off to Dave's credentials.
The birth year is more than likely right. There is an article published January 1, 2007 that says he is 31. Here's the link: [[1]] It talks about it towards the bottom.
His birthday is Sept. 4 1975. He is currently 32 years old and is turning 33 this year in 2008. This is fact —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.65.207.121 (talk) 18:53, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Big problems with this article
[edit]For a BLP, the criticisms section is much too extensive in compared to the rest of the article. Woogee (talk) 00:37, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
I agree, the criticisms are far too extensive for this article and many sources link back to pages whose evidence is shaky or does not point directly to Dave. For instance, what relevance does the Tiger Canyons Project have to a biography when he was not involved there. Some of the articles accusing the film "Living with Tigers" link back to statements by individuals accusing Discovery Communications of fraud without mentioning Dave. The part mentioning the affidavit is almost a word-for-word cut-and-paste from an article about Discovery that does not mention Salmoni. Again, why include that in a personal biography when it belongs in a page for the program itself and Salmoni hasn't commented on any of the remarks regarding fraud? I'm not saying none of the information is relevant, I'm saying that it does not belong in a biography but rather in an article that it directly relates to. D. Blizzard (talk) 01:10, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- The problem was someone was using the page as their thesis paper. None of the sources mentioned Salmoni and would probably work in an article about Tiger conservation efforts and such, but not this one. Fixer23 (talk) 09:30, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
