I thought I'd better point out that Dave Gallaher was in fact killed at Passchendaele, which is in Belgium, not France, but then, the Belgians aren't very noted for playing rugby! -- Arwel (talk) 14:50, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see what your point is. Nowhere in the article is it claimed that he died in France. GringoInChile 15:40, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Err, the first sentence: "...named after Dave Gallaher, the famous 1905-06 All Black captain who died in France during World War I."? -- Arwel (talk) 17:56, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
aaaahhh, OK me dumb!! :) But then, why don't you change it?GringoInChile 02:43, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thought I'd clear it here first - people sometimes get funny about unexplained changes! -- Arwel (talk) 07:44, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've been bold and changed it to be more accurate Lisiate (talk) 00:30, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
