Regarding Its elements
[edit]Hey Ekdalian I have this source link P.37 it is a government census,it is also cited on Baidya article.Nobita456 (talk) 13:23, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- No, the sentence categorically mentions "very slender grounds", this will not serve your purpose. Ekdalian (talk) 13:30, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- In the same book wink also said kaysthas are ranked as shudras.the "slender ground" is about 1951 claim,I am taking about the section where vaidya caste was formed by many brahmins is clearly mentioned. Nobita456
- Component elements and varna status are different, I have already mentioned. I checked the given source, page 37. Where it is mentioned, I mean "vaidya caste was formed by many brahmins"? Ekdalian (talk) 13:55, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- "There is no authentic mention of Vaidyas as a castein any old authority. The occupational group of physicians must have formed Itself very early. though the profession was looked down upon, there can be no doubt that many Brahmans belonged to this group" what does that mean??Nobita456 (talk) 14:00, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

I am not describing the varna of Vaidya but the composite element. As per the source there is "no doubt" that baidyas had Brahmin as it's composite element.Nobita456 (talk) 14:04, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- No sorry, this is vague. It is not even clearly mentioned that majority of those who formed the caste were Brahmins. 'Many' is a relative term; please find better reliable sources supporting your claim. Ekdalian (talk) 14:09, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- ok thanks.I will try to do that as advised by you.Nobita456 (talk) 14:24, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
