A note on British English
[edit]British English should be used for articles on Britain related topics. Likewise, American English should be used on articles pertaining to American topics. For a clearer example, please visit this sub-section on the differences between their usage. --Siva1979Talk to me 01:33, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
Copyright violation
[edit]Most of this article is copied from here, which is clearly marked Copyright © 2007 Dartford FC. No assertion of permission has been made ChrisTheDude 08:10, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, that article is copied from this Wikipedia entry. The original source for this article is from a document outlining the club's history which was freely passed on to other clubs in our league for inclusion in match-day programmes, etc. It was also made widely available on the club's old website. It was written by Mike Brett-Smith, a director of the club. Given the subsequent (substantial) edits to this information, I am unsure how to attribute the text. Fair use rationale for Image:DartfordFootballClubPrincesParkPlan.jpg
[edit]Image:DartfordFootballClubPrincesParkPlan.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I'm a bit critical of this section. Not only does it seem somewhat pointless and trivial, but a lot of these 'transfers' are not actual club-to-club transfers but occur when the club releases a player and he joins somewhere else. --Half Price (talk) 20:15, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- Get rid of it altogether, it's ridiculously recentist and unencyclopedic -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:42, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. --Half Price (talk) 09:40, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Charley McMillan-Lopez
[edit]Any Dartford fans got any recollection of a youth player called Charley McMillan-Lopez being at the club - for context [see discussions on WikiProject Football] Zanoni (talk) 15:03, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
