• While I know what you mean, "Ford was called up for the first time" feels a little disingenuous since he was procedurally added to the roster last season

  • I know it looks a little odd the way I've phrased it, and baseball fans will scoff at the obviousness of the explanation. However, I think this makes it easier for those less familiar with the slash line to figure out what it means.
