Latin
[edit]Is the article using Latin names from the works of Greek geographers? Shouldn't they be in Greek and English?
The passage of Cyrus
[edit]I could not find sorce for this:
"Contemporary Muslim scholars believe Darial Gorge refers to the wall of Dhul-Qarnayn mentioned in the verses of the Qur'an[1]. Local Armenians called this wall "Behag Gurai" (meaning "The passage of Cyrus").[2]"
and also the ISBN is not correct. Geagea 00:50, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
---
+ Late scholar like as-Syohârwî affirmed this in his qasas ul quran. Sorry for editing + ---
- Well, I agree with Geagea. The passage is very poorly sourced and needs further verification. --KoberTalk 04:21, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- I did some research on this. The info is taken from a private website which does not cite any source except for "Iranians in the Qur'an and Traditions" by Ali Abtahi (ISBN 964-6760-40-6). However, the website is the only source on the net referring to this book. ISBN search doesn't yield any result. I'm removing the passage from the text until proper sources are provided. Chechen translation
[edit]Assalamu alaykum wa rahmattulahi wa barakatuh @Goddard2000. I think the Chechen translation isn't currently needed as it lacks notability, and I'm proposing for it's deletion, unless you can prove it's notable enough to be on the article. WikiEditor1234567123 (talk) 18:34, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- Waaleykum Salam, i don't know anything about the translation and the Chechen version i have only seen now. So i won't involve myself in this matter, maybe someone else knows more. Goddard2000 (talk) 23:35, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
