All of the sources for this article were checked, and full descriptions of each subsequent edit made appear in the corresponding edit summary. The only clarification that needs to be offered is the appearance of the [sic] in the first citation, which is to make clear the errant appearance of "Dr." (in reference to the honorary doctorate of the subject) before the title bestowed by the Crown is a mistake that appears on the source website, and is was not introduced by this editor. For background, see [1], and similar UK sources. Also, if "Kenya-based British" in the lede is not better than the obscuring "Kenyan British"—i.e., if she has dual citizenship—then this particular edit should be reversed. 71.239.87.100 (talk) 17:07, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Richly sourced subject, poorly sourced article

[edit]

In the 30 mins I could spend on this, I found one source to support the claim of the Smithsonian honour, and provided a half dozen Further reading entries for future editors to begin working from. (Please do not stop there; these hardly span 2013-2014, and so do not well source the MBE, the honourary doctorate, etc.) There is no reason such a richly sourced contemporary individual should have such a poorly sourced Wikipedia article. 71.239.87.100 (talk) 17:18, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
