Daohua
[edit]@Kwamikagami @Stevey7788 The common name in English-language literature seems to be "Daohua". I can find essentially nothing that exclusively refers to this as "Dao", which isn't surprising given how polysemous that word is. I think we should move the article accordingly. - I'm surprised there is a common name in English. Glottolog calls it 'Dao'. What do you have? — kwami (talk) 16:10, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- Guangshun Cao & Hsiao-jung Yu (2019) Language Contact and Change in Chinese, Tianhua Luo (2016) Interrogative Strategies, and Juha Janhunen (2008) Wutun all translate daohua as "Dao language". Maria Mazzoli & Eeva Sippola (2021) New Perspectives on Mixed Languages use "Dao vernacular". — kwami (talk) 16:15, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
