Maybe it should be mentioned that a hymn with these words was published by Gottfried Vopelius in his Neu Leipziger Gesangbuch [de] (1682) p. 587 (see the redirect Danket dem Herrn, denn er ist sehr freundlich), and that hymn was harmonized by J. S. Bach as BWV 286. According to http://www.bach-chorales.com/BWV0286.htm, the text is by Johann Horn [de]. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 15:24, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
