"Danish was formerly a mandatory subject in schools in Iceland." This is wrong and needs to be changed. Danish is mandatory from 6th to 10th grade in iceland.

Danish is not spoken in Iceland. Despite it being a mandatory subject for the students last years in grade school, it has little effect, it is more common for Icelanders and Danes to speak together in English than in Danish. Danish tourists for example cannot expect to use their native tongue in Iceland.
