Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that Danielle_Colby be merged into American_Pickers. Other than american pickers the other items discussed are kind of local and below the line. I'll point out there hasn't been much since and the sort of thing nobody cares about currently or will in the distant future. The way much of the article was written on that really extremely low importance stuff on burlesque, a short lived failed clothing store, and kind of a manager/owner of a random roller derby (not exactly high notoriety) team all gets "self promoting", alternatively this article could be a stub but overall even Colby's role on american pickers was kind of secondary and more on the lines of some of the experts on Pawn_Stars in notoriety. The actual stars of American Pickers don't even have their own wiki and lead more notable lives outside the show. I'd disagree with the 2016 talk item on deleting this in its entirety. I only came across this due to Pawn_Stars star old man dying (a more popular history channel show) and someone landed on Colby's article which was obviously self promoting. I'll point out the article was about a decade out of date and no new notable material was added. 73.74.132.137 (talk) 00:39, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
Commentary
[edit]The two main guys on the show don't have their own page, but Danielle does? Can someone say why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.29.27.147 (talk) 16:44, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
- Because she's notable on her own while the other's aren't, apparently. Kindzmarauli (talk) 21:02, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
Nah, the other stuff isn't really notable and mostly anecdotal. For example it seems kind of self promoting or my some kind of really extreme fan. Seriously? A store in chicago that was open for a year or basically like a coach of a roller derby team. That's cool and all but not really notable per wiki standards. This at best should be a stub off the american pickers if it wasn't for that (kind of a secondary character role) this wouldn't stand a chance for wiki. This page should be deleted or merged somehow under american pickers; perhaps a stub at best. There's many many burlesque dancers out there. Taken all together she's done a few things but outside american pickers (even weak) woudln't have a page this should be deleted or merged 73.74.132.137 (talk) 00:26, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
