[edit]Daniel Schneidermann manifeste également de l'intérêt pour l'analyse d'Internet 1 comme source d'information, notamment au travers du développement des blogs et de Wikipédia 2. Dans une expérience destinée à tester la capacité de Wikipédia à tolérer un discours critique sur elle-même, et à observer la rédaction collective des articles, il introduit dans le présent article deux phrases.3
« En 2005, avec David Abiker et Judith Bernard, il crée le Big Bang Blog 4, afin d'explorer « tout ce qui craque et tout ce qui résiste » dans le monde des médias. Dans un des textes de ce blog, il dénonce l'anonymat des auteurs de notices de Wikipédia en général, et de celle-ci en particulier. » Ce blog lui permet également d'exprimer des idées qui n'auraient pas leur place dans ses chroniques ou ses émissions de télévision, ainsi que de se défendre contre les critiques dont il fait l'objet.
