Article name question
[edit]Is "Metropolitan Daniel (Nushiro) of Japan" really the proper name this person is known by? It seems unlikely to me, but maybe it is the literal translation of the name. Specifically "Metropolitan" isn't usually a name, but is it maybe part of his official title? Beeblebrox (talk) 19:51, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- Never mind, I figured it out for myself and added a link to the relevant page. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:00, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- Late reply, but I thought I would comment here, for the record, that the common practice is to not use titles in the article titles of clergy on Wikipedia, at least for the Eastern Orthodox ones. See Ilia II of Georgia, Kirill I of Moscow. For some reason the Ecumenical Patriarchs, though, don't follow that and I have no idea why. --Pstanton (talk) 21:33, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
