WikiProject banners

[edit]

In case it has escaped anybody's attention, this article is a biography of a living person who has been charged with a long list of crimes. I have modified the list of WikiProject banners accordingly. But I would like to see more details of what this person did to merit being charges with such a long list of crimes and some details of any subsequent court proceedings, and any findings, before we go too much further. WikiPedia should not have article that are biographies of people who are notable only for one event. For clarity, the article should clearly identify these separate events to demonstrate a pattern of behaviour over a period of time, if this is not to be a single event article. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 21:14, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would say this person is notable for a series of events, which brought on criminal charges. Thank you for fixing the WP banners! Happy to expand upon that in the article text. If you want to PROD or AFD it, be my guest! But the series of events related to the overall criminal enterprise have been documented in multiple sources. — Shibbolethink ( ) 17:40, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Shibbolethink for expanding the article. A PROD or AFD is not the answer for an article where its subject is supported by reliable sources, because that indicates notability. My comment was directed at whether this article was best written as a biography or about an event. When I first saw this article, it contained a limited amount of detail, and I couldn't decide what was the best course of action. Now the article has been expanded, it is quite clear that a biography is warranted. The article is greatly improved as a result, so I removed the Stub notice. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 19:13, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ahhhh, I see what you were saying now. Thank you, that does make sense, since I hadn't added all the details from the 2015 situation! Happy to get the advice, you were definitely right it needed more detail — Shibbolethink ( ) 20:22, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
