Dangjeok = Sogeum?
[edit]This dictionary entry only says dangjeok is a wrong name for sogeum. Of course, sometimes the dictionary is wrong. Wikipeditor 18:52, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- Interesting; I don't know why it would say that because, although similar in size, they're distinct flutes with slightly different sizes, different constructions, and different numbers of finger holes. The sources I've looked at, like this one, say that the sogeum is the smallest of the "three flutes of Silla," while the dangjeok (hence its name, having the modifier "Dang," like the noodles "Dangmyun") came from China during the Goryeo period. Here's another one. 24.93.190.134 20:40, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you, those links make the distinction very clear. Wikipeditor 23:25, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
